4x4
You have a train station with four different directions,
and you can choose one of those for arrival and departure each.
42=16. For each one of those 16 possibilities there
is one railway, so it is 16 railways and 8 platforms.
Radio
When you transmit electromagnetic waves, how do they look
depending on the sound or information, the frequency and the kind
of modulation, let it be AM (amplitude modulation) or FM
(frequency modulation)? Find it out.
S-Bahn
München
If you had a map of the rapid transit system of Munich
with all stations in one single row, this is
what it would look like, and you completely lose the feeling
for which stations are near or directly next to each other
and which are not.
Mirroring music
Imagine that you turn
all the notes' heights of a piece of music around.
Computer science
My dad is a computer scientist. Once he asked me to write a
mathematical text with LaTeX but I did not know any LaTeX commands
yet. However, I am a quick learner. He showed me the most important
ones and I began.
Cattle
I like cattle so much. They are so beautiful and nice. At the border
between Germany and the Netherlands there is a large meadow with
cattle. I often go there and look at it.
World Trade Center
With the program Povray you can construct three-dimensional objects
and then look at them. You must fix the camera location and the direction
where it is looking. I made the World Trade Centers with Povray
primitively.
XMMS-like webpage Download (ZIP) Score of most
music from that webpage
WARNING: with sound
I was excited when I found out that one can create a sound on webpages
with JavaScript. So I made a test page which will most certainly
remind you of an audio-CD player. For the case it does not work
online you can also download it.
Homepage in high school
In “Computer science” we also had to create our own
homepage. However, as far as learning to work with Excel and HTML
is concerned, and we did that,
I would rather call it “Computer studies.”
Therefore, I used a lot of JavaScript, which gets us back to the
actual subject.
